It is mainly used in the production of lightweight astringents and latex products, skin protectants, synthetic silk, desulfurizers, analytical reagents, pharmaceutical industry, and feed additives. Due to its transparency close to natural rubber, it is used as a reinforcing agent and vulcanization accelerator in transparent rubber products.
