Basic Zinc Carbonate is an inorganic substance that appears as a white, fine amorphous powder. It is odorless, tasteless, insoluble in water and alcohol, slightly soluble in ammonia, and soluble in dilute acid and sodium hydroxide. It is mainly used in the production of lightweight astringents and latex products, skin protectants, synthetic silk, desulfurizers, analytical reagents, pharmaceutical industry, and feed additives. Due to its transparency close to natural rubber, it is used as a reinforcing agent and vulcanization accelerator in transparent rubber products.

The applications of Basic Zinc Carbonate are very extensive, and the following are its main application areas:

Rubber industry: Basic zinc carbonate can be used as a reinforcing agent and filler for rubber, which can improve the mechanical strength and wear resistance of rubber. In transparent rubber products, it can also be used as a reinforcing agent and vulcanization accelerator because its transparency is close to that of natural rubber.

Coating industry: Basic zinc carbonate can be used as a white pigment with good covering and coloring power. It can also be used as an anti-corrosion pigment for the preparation of anti rust paints and anti-corrosion coatings.

Pharmaceutical and food industries: In medicine, basic zinc carbonate can be used as a lightweight astringent, preservative, talcum powder, disinfectant, and skin protectant.

Plastic industry: Basic zinc carbonate can be used as a plasticizer and flame retardant for plastics, which can improve the flexibility and flame resistance of plastics.

In the process of engineering plastic foaming, it can also be used as a foaming agent to achieve plastic foaming by decomposing and producing gas.

In the fertilizer industry, basic zinc carbonate can be used as a desulfurizer to help remove sulfides from gases.

In the glass industry, basic zinc carbonate can be used as a clarifying agent to help remove bubbles from glass.

Basic zinc carbonate can also be used to prepare latex film products, artificial silk, and as a catalytic desulfurizer.
